CPR-D-padz
One electrode is easier than two.
The ZOLL semi-automatic external defibrillator for rescue features CPR-D-padz™, a pair of pre-connected electrodes assembled into a single element, with Real CPR Help® technology.
Ordinary AEDs require the rescuer to use two separate electrodes which can cause confusion, while applying the sensor to the center of the sternum makes it easy to quickly position the CPR-D-padz electrode on the victim. The CPR-D-padz lasts five years, much longer than any other defibrillator electrode on the market.
Real CPR Help
Inadequate compression rate and depth are common during CPR. An adult needs at least 100 compressions per minute at a depth of at least 5 cm. Compressions must be high quality to effectively circulate blood and oxygen.
ZOLL's AED Plus® instantly converts compression data from the CPR-D-padz and provides an accelerometer that helps the rescuer achieve the correct compression rate and depth, issuing messages such as "push harder" or "good compressions" if needed. It also displays the CPR compression depth on the screen.
AED Plus is the only AED that assists the rescuer in achieving the correct compression rate and depth during CPR. No other AED has this feature.
