CT CLICK UP +

CLICK UP + is an innovative manual braking belay device. Specifically designed for indoor and sport climbing, it is compatible with all single dynamic ropes from Ø 8.5 to 11 mm. Compact and lightweight (110g), it allows belaying a lead climber and top-rope belaying by handling the rope with both hands.

• More efficient in feeding rope quickly and smoothly (Fig. 3), thanks to the new shell geometry and the new carabiner retention system (patent pending);

• More comfortable for top-rope belaying, especially with indoor ropes, due to the new cheek geometry;

• Safer thanks to the V-Proof system (patent pending) that reduces errors caused by incorrect rope use during locking (Fig. 1-2);

• More ergonomic thanks to the new outer shell shape.

• Allows arresting a fall simply by holding the free end of the rope with the hand;

• Enables lowering the partner by applying light pressure on the device while maintaining tension on the slack rope with the other hand;

• Ensures effective belaying even if the rope is inserted incorrectly (rope sides reversed), thanks to the dedicated V-shaped braking grooves (Fig. 4).

V-PROOF SYSTEM

During belaying, critical phases such as feeding and retrieving rope on lead or in top rope require maintaining the "V" angle between the two rope strands. Reducing this angle can affect the device's locking function.

The V-Proof system on CLICK UP + limits errors caused by reducing the "V" angle between the rope strands.

It consists of a movable divider that promotes activation of the assisted braking system. If during a fall the hand-side rope contacts the divider (Fig. 1), it encourages device rotation and consequent rope locking (Fig. 2).

CLICK UP + is supplied and must be used with the dedicated HMS CONCEPT SGL HC carabiner, featuring wear-resistant anodizing and an ACL system preventing minor axis loading.
