The only AED for comprehensive cardiopulmonary rescue with intelligent pediatric functions
The ZOLL AED Plus® with intelligent pediatric functions features audible and visual prompts that inform the rescuer when the Pedi-padz® II electrodes are connected, ensuring the correct electrodes are used. In cardiac arrest cases, only half of the victims require an electric shock.
The other half need cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Separate and specific algorithms for adults and children analyze the victim's heart rhythm. The ZOLL AED Plus can defibrillate children up to eight years old using the Pedi-padz II electrodes.
When the Pedi-padz II electrodes are connected, the AED Plus device recognizes that the intervention is on a pediatric patient. With ECG analysis specifically developed for pediatric heart rates, combined with appropriate defibrillation energy levels, the AED Plus device can manage emergencies for both adult and pediatric patients.
The Pedi-padz II electrodes are specially designed for use with the AED Plus and are also compatible with professional defibrillators, allowing continuity of care. The AED Plus does not use resistors or devices to reduce delivered energy.
