For this type of saw, Silky started from the unique design of the straight Tsurugi and reworked it by optimizing its shape and size. The result is a blade that is much more efficient and safer.

Tsurugi offers perhaps the lightest and most balanced weight among the saws produced, as it has no extraneous components such as screws, nuts, or handles to hold the parts together. The comfortable GOM handle is made of rubber, which reduces vibrations and the risk of slipping when wet.

Silky Tsurugi comes with an aluminum sheath that can be attached to the belt or leg, depending on user preference, with special protection for the insertion hole.

Silky blade technology:

Non-set teeth – The blades are made of SK-4 carbon steel and feature laser cutting. The teeth are within the blade width ("non-set").

Thanks to this design and manufacturing, the saw can make cuts more easily, cleanly, and quickly. In standard European saws, the teeth are formed to protrude beyond the blade width ("set"); this causes greater friction and consequently requires more effort from the user.

Electro-pulse hardening – Using high-frequency electro-pulse hardening technology, the teeth are heated and hardened. The hardening process involves only the teeth and not the rest of the blade.

Thus, the blade retains its original flexibility while the teeth have a lifespan three times longer than those of a standard saw.

Chrome finish – The chrome plating of the blade increases its resistance and ensures a long blade life. This process provides greater protection against rust and resin.
