PETZL QUARK HAMMER

QUARK is a versatile ice axe designed for technical mountaineering and ice climbing. Its balance and ICE pick allow secure placements on all types of ice. The TRIGREST and GRIPREST rests make it manageable and comfortable in all situations, providing a more effective grip for difficult moves. Fully modular, the QUARK ice axe easily adapts to various technical routes: snow couloirs, gullies, north faces, icefalls...

Versatile ice axe:

• curved shaft under the head and GRIPREST QUARK rest at the lower shaft to protect hands on icefalls,

• sufficiently straight shaft with a steel spike for use as a walking axe,

• hydroformed shaft for optimal grip in the middle of the shaft on snow couloirs,

• overmolded, dual-material grip for excellent hold and perfect insulation from the cold,

• TRIGREST QUARK and GRIPREST QUARK rests to improve grip on difficult moves,

• 550 g with PANNE or MARTEAU.

Effective placements on all types of ice:

• ICE pick sharpened at the tip (3.3 mm) and versatile on all terrains: snow, ice, and mixed,

• compatible with MASSELOTTES to modify the axe's balance and improve inertia.

Modular construction:

• fully modular head to adapt the axe's technicality,

• compatible with Petzl accessories: PUR'ICE, MINI MARTEAU, MASSELOTTES…,

• TRIGREST QUARK rest adjustable in height without tools,
