PETZL MAESTRO S

Facilitates the handling of heavy loads, both lowering and lifting, and can be used as a main system and for self-belaying. This versatility allows rescuers to adapt to all configurations encountered at the intervention site. The ergonomic handle and integrated brake enable comfortable control of the descent. Switching from lowering to lifting position is immediate, without needing to retrieve the load. The integrated locking pulley, with a large-diameter pulley on sealed ball bearings, ensures excellent lifting efficiency. The AUTO-LOCK system automatically locks the rope when the handle is not in use. Once locked, the rope can be retrieved without using the handle. The MAESTRO S descender is compatible with ropes from 10.5 to 11.5 mm and allows handling of heavy loads up to 250 kg.

Highly versatile, ideal for technical rescue:

- The locking system with integrated locking pulley allows the same device to be used for lowering and lifting,

- The lower attachment point allows for different types of hauling,

- The hole in the handle allows installation of a cord for remote control.

- Rope installation is facilitated by markings on the device,

- The ergonomic handle allows progressive rope release and comfortable descent control,

- Switching from lowering to lifting position is immediate, without retrieving the load.

- The AUTO-LOCK system automatically locks the rope when the handle is not used. Once locked, the rope can be retrieved without using the handle.

Efficiency in handling heavy loads:

- The integrated locking pulley, with a large-diameter pulley on sealed ball bearings, has a unique rotation direction for excellent lifting efficiency,

- The grooved pulley increases friction zones with the rope for additional braking during descent,

- The integrated brake modulates friction based on load and rope diameter.

Compatible with ropes from 10.5 to 11.5 mm diameter for handling loads up to 250 kg. Other usage features:

- Can be used with a 10 mm rope for a maximum load of 150 kg,

- Handling heavy loads up to 272 kg with an 11 mm diameter rope certified NFPA General Use.
