Designed in collaboration with the High Mountain Teams of the Chamonix Mont-Blanc Gendarmerie (France), the LEZARD lanyard is intended for helicopter rescue at altitude. It ensures secure placement and retrieval phases through an adjustable end with immediate release to free the injured person, rescuer, and helicopter if the latter must abruptly leave its hover position. The use of the LEZARD helicopter rescue lanyard is facilitated by the immediate identification of connection elements by color coding and the very quick and precise length adjustment of the adjustable end with the ADJUST blocker.
Description:
Designed for helicopter rescue at altitude:

on the metal body, a large upper hole to quickly connect the helicopter winch,
-
adjustable end to set the length and connect to the anchor point,
-
double lower end to connect the rescuer and the injured person,
-
carabiner fixed on the metal body to connect a stretcher.
It ensures secure placement and retrieval phases: if the helicopter must abruptly leave its hover position, the adjustable end immediately opens, freeing the injured person, rescuer, and helicopter.

NOTE: Due to the particularity of the LEZARD helicopter rescue lanyard, training for product use is mandatory at Petzl or an accredited organization.
(1) The LEZARD helicopter rescue lanyard does not have an energy absorber. It must therefore be used only if the fall factor is less than 1 (use below the anchor point).
