PETZL I'D EVAC

The I’D EVAC self-braking descender is primarily designed for anchor evacuations. Specifically oriented for load movement at the anchor, the ergonomic handle allows comfortable control of the descent. The integrated anti-panic function and error-proof rope lock reduce the risk of accidents in case of incorrect use. The AUTO-LOCK system automatically locks the rope without needing to use the handle to create the locking key. Once locked, the rope can be retrieved without using the handle. The opening pawl allows rope installation while keeping the device connected to the anchor. I’D EVAC is compatible with ropes from 10 to 11.5 mm and supports load movement up to 250 kg.

Ease of use:

- features an opening pawl on the moving flange that allows easy rope insertion while the device remains connected to the anchor,

- easy rope installation thanks to the guide and indicative markings,

- error-proof rope lock to limit accident risks due to incorrect rope insertion,

- ergonomic handle that allows rope release and comfortable descent control. Two descent options: on the flange or in the V-shaped braking groove. The handle is specifically oriented for load movement at the anchor,

- anti-panic function that automatically stops the descent if the user pulls the handle too hard,

- AUTO-LOCK system that automatically locks the rope without using the handle to create the locking key. The automatic return of the handle reduces the risk of accidental engagement,

- automatic handle return to resting position when the rope is removed from the device, reducing accidental engagement risks when carrying the descender on the harness.

Versatility:

- once locked, the rope can be retrieved without using the handle, allowing reversible recovery systems,

- screw to lock the moving flange for integrating the I’D EVAC into evacuation kits,

- additional open brake to increase braking action depending on load and rope diameter and to install or release the rope at any time.

Protective reinforcement in stainless steel in the rope friction area increases wear resistance.

Heavy load descent up to 250 kg.

Rope compatibility: 10 to 11.5 mm diameter.

Available in two colors: yellow and black.
