PETZL AVAO (European Version)

The AVAO harness is specifically designed for workers at height. Its design meets the specific requirements for work positioning and rope descent. The preformed padding and semi-rigid structure of the waistbelt and leg loops ensure comfort during use. The waistbelt, equipped with metal side attachment points, gear loops, and tool holders, allows for organizing all necessary equipment for a workday. Adjustment is also simple and quick, thanks to the DOUBLEBACK self-locking buckles.

Description

Comfortable construction:

- shoulder straps separated from the neck reduce chafing,

- thin, smooth webbing allows greater freedom and ease of movement,

- all contact areas—shoulder straps, waistbelt, and leg loops—feature preformed padding covered with breathable fabric, enabling comfortable movement and work,

- the semi-rigid waistbelt and leg loops ensure a perfect fit and secure hold of the harness on the user’s body,

- the metal side attachment points fold away to prevent accidental snagging when not in use.

- the back of the leg loops includes elastic straps (replaceable - available as accessory) to maintain proper fit both while walking and suspended.

Easy adjustment:

- adjustment is comfortable and simple, thanks to the DOUBLEBACK self-locking buckles on the shoulder straps, waistbelt, and leg loops,

- anti-slip elements installed on the DOUBLEBACK buckles maintain correct adjustment throughout all work phases.

Design facilitating transport and equipment organization:

- the metal ventral D-ring is equipped with connection points for installing a PODIUM or LITEPOD seat,

- the ventral connection point has a dedicated textile loop allowing installation of a lanyard via a RING OPEN connection ring,

- two metal side attachment points for connecting a double positioning lanyard,

- five preformed gear loops with protective sheath,

- two loops for CARITOOL gear holders or INTERFAST connection elements.

Specifications

Ventral attachment point: connection of a descender, a positioning lanyard used singly, a seat on the ventral D-ring, and a lanyard via a RING OPEN connected to the textile connection point.

Lateral attachment points: connection of a double positioning lanyard.

Sternal attachment point: connection of a fall arrest system.

Dorsal attachment point: connection of a fall arrest system.

Attachment point on the back of the waistbelt: connection of a restraint lanyard.
