FABA AL-D GUIDED TYPE FALL ARREST TROLLEY
The Faba AL-D fall arrest trolley is an integral part of the FABA A12 / AL2 fall protection system on a rigid anchorage line in accordance with EN 353/1.
The AL-D model is exclusively usable without traction and when the space behind the climbing person is very narrow.
It is designed and can only be used as personal protective equipment. It must not be used for different applications, e.
g. , as a load carrier for materials or as a weight stopper!
The operator of the fall protection system must ensure that the fall arrest trolley belongs to the user personally and that it is used by them in accordance with these instructions. After use, the fall arrest trolley must not be left attached to the fall protection system.
The fall protection system can only be used with full body harnesses that comply with the European standard EN 361 and are equipped with a fall arrest D-ring.
Warning:
The "FABA AL-D" fall arrest trolley must always be attached to the fall arrest D-ring of the full body harness!
Properly used together with a full body harness, the fall arrest device protects the user from falls during ascent and descent. When working at a point or along the climbing route, the user must always use an additional safety lanyard compliant with EN 354 or secure themselves with a pole strap compliant with EN 358.
Lanyards must be anchored to sufficiently strong anchorage points (e. g.
, ladder anchorage brackets) capable of withstanding the impact of a fall. This precaution also applies to persons stopping on a rest platform.
Lanyards should be kept as short as possible to reduce fall risks.
A fall arrest device compliant with EN 353/1 must only be used by persons who:
• Have been trained or are otherwise competent
• Are under the direct supervision of a trained or competent person.
Attention - risk of fatal injury!
The carabiner must be attached directly to the D-ring on the front of the user's harness. This warning applies to both vertical and horizontal use on systems compliant with EN 353/1.
