The new guided type fall arrester FUSE by EDELRID offers an incomparably smooth sliding movement up and down the rope from the very first meter and is the only device of its kind on the market to meet four different standards (EN 353-2, EN 12841-A, RfU 11. 075, and ANSI Z359.

15), all in a compact and manageable design.

Both ascending and descending, the integrated brake allows the device to move up/down the safety rope with unmatched ease from the first meter. The built-in cam locking function can also be used for positioning at the workplace or to secure the rope in strong winds.

This enables users to focus easily on their work while enjoying the particularly secure feeling of FUSE at all times.

The developers from Isny im Allgäu are especially proud of a special design feature: "The FUSE is different from any other device on the market because its activation and locking mechanisms are structurally separated, offering multiple advantages," says Lucas Taddei, Product Manager for occupational safety. "This separation and the absence of a toothed cam make the device particularly gentle on ropes.

The design also allows the FUSE to be simply removed from the rope after a fall. The guided type fall arrester can be easily clipped on or off at any point on the rope without having to disconnect it from the harness.

Moreover, the FUSE complies with all relevant European and international standards for large diameter ranges and maximum user loads in a single device. The edge test according to RfU also ensures suitability for horizontal work on edges from which falls are possible.

Together with its impressive compactness, these properties make FUSE the most universal device in its category.

The mandatory pairing with a suitable DEFUSER energy absorber (S, L, or RESCUE) allows selection of a complete and ideal system for the intended use thanks to different lengths and performance parameters.
